Roxbury Township, Mrs. Emma Egreczky (95) died on September 16, 2009 at the Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover. She was born in Velka-Dobra, Czechoslovakia and came to the United States in 1920 to Bayonne, NJ. She lived in Union and moved to Toms River from 1980 – 2001 when she moved to Succasunna. She worked in retail sales at the Two Guys from Harrison Store, in Union from 1962-1979. She is a member of St. Therese R C Church in Succasunna, and of Local #1262, Retailer's Union. She enjoyed crocheting, ceramics, reading, and line dancing.
Mrs. Egreczky is survived by her husband Albert of 67 years, and by her 2 children; Albert J. of Flemington and Corliss Ost of Succasunna. She also leaves her sister Irene Sacks of Warren, 4 grandchildren; Lori West of Mansfield Twp, Lisa Rettenmeyer of Buford, GA, and Corynn and Michael Egreczky of Flemington, and her 4 great grandchildren.
Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna, (973-584-7264) on Friday from 3-5 & 7-9 pm. The Funeral Liturgy will be held on Saturday, 10 am at St. Therese R C Church with the interment to follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover. In lieu of flowers, her family requests memorial contributions to a cause that holds special family significance APFED – American Partnership for Eosinophilic Disorders, P O Box 29545, Atlanta, GA 30359.
